Born of the most mysterious origins, the "Join The Band T-Shirt" was never for sale, but was worn only by the inside-iest of the CREEM insiders—think writers and photogs that had the scoop on exactly how many Boy Howdys! Aerosmith could smuggle into their gullets. What we mean is, this 1970s' torso-topper is ONE OF THE RAREST CREEM items of ALL TIME. How rare is rare, you ask? Well folks, after scouring the far reaches of the worldwide web and exhausting all of our CREEM resources, we’ve only been able to find TWO!! One is in a museum in Birmingham, MI, and the other is in a very lucky man’s closet (Hi, Paul H.!!!). So if words like ‘UNIQUE,’ ‘LIMITED,’ and ‘COLLECTIBLE’ get you a tinglin’ this is the tee for YOU. Join The Band today!
The CREEM Archive Collection is our PREMIUM merch line featuring classic logos, artwork, and other deep cuts ripped straight from the pages of America’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll Magazine. Printed on soft, vintage-style, tees these elevated items will turn yer wardrobe up to 11.

It’s the real thing! Welcome back Creem! Boy Howdy!
wonderful
As soon as this shirt was donned I was hurled back to the swinging 70’s and wondered where my Hobie skateboard and my J Geils albums were. Rock culture, Creem, R. Crumb and the unmistakable retro-vibe of the ringer T make this shirt part of my my go-to ensemble when I’m ready to rock.
Wore it while I was in NOLA last week. Lots of “awesome shirt bro” comments while I was on Bourbon St.
The shirt fits great! Love the creem color. And obviously the artwork is super fun! If I have one suggestion it would be make one with a tear away tag. It’s irritating to wear without removal, which I easily just cut off. Thankfully I didn’t harm the shirt. I appreciate the branding on the tag and it would likely be desired for resale, but it’s scratchy. Thanks for bringing it back y’all!
